Paul Pierce Says LeBron James Will Not Be In Top 5 Of All-Time If He Doesn't Win With The Lakers Superteam: "No More 'GOAT' Talk Anymore."

Paul Pierce and LeBron James were known to be rivals in the Eastern Conference back in late 2000s and early 2010s.

Pierce along with Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen eliminated LeBron James' Cleveland Cavaliers in 2008 and 2010 until LeBron went to Miami and they couldn't pass the Heat's big three from 2011 to 2012.

Last year, Pierce made a statement that raised the eyebrows of many NBA fans specially the LeBron fans.

Pierce took a shot on LeBron's legacy:

"If they don't win this year, it's gonna be a big hit on LeBron's legacy. He's not top 5 all-time if (the) Lakers don't win. Let alone lose in the first round. No more G.O.A.T talk anymore."

If the Lakers do not win the championship, Pierce believes it will hurt LeBron's legacy. And if LeBron doesn't get past the first round, he shouldn't be in the GOAT conversation.

LeBron and the Lakers went on to win the championship last year in NBA Bubble in Orlando. Pierce later claimed that LeBron is now officially the second greatest player of all time behind Michael Jordan.

Pierce seems to be still salty with LeBron as LeBron and the Cavaliers ruined the day of his jersey retirement. The Cavs blew out the Celtics back in February 12 of 2018.
