Kemba Walker is headed home.

The Bronx native will play for the New York Knicks next season, after agreeing to a contract buyout from the Oklahoma City Thunder earlier today. Walker spent the last two seasons in Boston before being shipped to OKC in June, with plans of him being flipped for more assets.

Walker was a powerful performer while on the Celtics, although he was impaired by a few injuries. His move to New York will greatly assist Julius Randle and the rest of the team with perimeter shooting and playmaking abilities. This is a good get for the Knicks and will solidify the backcourt of the team.

The Knicks have been slowly building a competitive squad, centered around Randle, last year's Most Improved Player of the Year. Despite being much better than year's past, the Knicks were still knocked out of the playoffs in the first round.
