Multiple sources have confirmed that a new NBA Players Association executive director has been named. Andre Iguodala has reportedly been offered and accepted the role today.
He replaces Tamika Tremaglio who was in the role for less than two years. Tremaglio has reportedly left to pursue other opportunities.
Andre Iguodala has been appointed the acting executive director of the National Basketball Players Association, sources tell ESPN. Tamika Tremaglio has stepped down from that role after less than two years on the job.
Major change at the NBPA with Andre Iguodala taking over as the new Executive Director and Tamika Tremaglio out.
Now the 4-time NBA champion will go from on the court to in the executive suite looking out for the interests of many of the people he recently played with and against. He will now be in charge of negotiating on behalf of the players whenever a matter like the CBA comes up with the league.
