Magic Circling Jamahl Mosley for Head Coach

It sounds like the Orlando Magic are getting close to hiring their next head coach. Adrian Wojnarowski claims that the team is looking to sign Dallas Mavericks assistant coach Jamahl Mosley in the near future.

Mosley was one of the top contenders to take over the Mavs when Rick Carlisle stepped down. He worked under Carlisle since 2014 and got his fair share of experience assisting with the likes of Luka Doncic and more. However, when Jason Kidd ultimately was rewarded with the Mavs head coach spot, Mosley moved on and began talks with the Magic.

If Mosley is hired by Orlando, he has his work cut out for him. The team has been suffering a lot lately, despite having some serious young talent with the likes of Jonathan Issac, RJ Hampton, and Markelle Fultz. They have acquired the number 5 and 8 picks in the NBA Draft this year but are still a few seasons away from truly being competitive.
