The Los Angeles Lakers had a couple of surprises in day of 2 of NBA free agency.

The Lakers were able to sign young shooting guard Malik Monk earlier.

This time, former Miami Heat guard Kendrick Nunn has agreed to play for the Lakers next season after agreeing to a two-year, $10 million deal with the team.

Nunn reportedly turned down more money to chase a title with the purple and gold.

Earlier, Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium reported that the Heat have pulled out their qualifying offer for Nunn.

Nunn has a player option in year 2 of his contract.

The 6'2 guard averaged 14.6 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.6 assists on 49/38/93 shooting splits last season with the Heat.

Lakers also resigned RFA Talen Horton-Tucker to a three-year, $32 million deal.

Tucker showed his potential last season averaging 9 points, 2.6 rebounds, 2.8 assists and a steal in 20.1 minutes per game last season.
