The NBA season is over sadly, but what a ride it's been. However, while the road to the Milwaukee Bucks' victory over the Phoenix Suns was a long and crazy one, it might not hold a candle to the offseason that's coming up.

There have already been a ton of wild rumors about possible trades in the league but the latest one is a doozy: according to The Undefeated, LeBron James and his Los Angeles Lakers are hunting for a veteran point guard that can bring the team closer together and more impressive offensively. Right now, the two names being toss around the most are Russell Westbrook and CP3 himself, Chris Paul.

"According to sources, LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers have been on the hunt for veteran point guard, and Paul is on the list. There have also been talks about Washington Wizards star Russell Westbrook being a potential candidate to move back home to Los Angeles in a sign-and-trade deal that could include free agent point guard Dennis Schroder, forward Kyle Kuzma and guard Talen Horton-Tucker, sources said."

But are trades for Westbrook or Paul even possible? Would the Wiz be willing to part with Westbrook, after his impressive season, for Kuzma, Schroder, and Horton-Tucker? Is it worth it for them? And will the Suns take any deal that loses Paul after the red-hot season he had? It seems unlikely.

However, Paul and James have been close friends for ages and they have never made a secret about wanting to play together in an official capacity. This could be the way to make that happen.

Both of these trades might be long shots right now but here's something definitive: the Lakers are looking for a new point guard, and one who has proven his worth.
