Kyle Lowry spent nine seasons with the Toronto Raptors, winning an NBA championship in 2019.

Lowry was well-loved in Toronto and arguably one of the best to play for the Raptors.

On Wednesday, Lowry posted his heartfelt message on Instagram for Toronto Raptors organization and fans:

«Thank u for everything Toronto, Canada»

«This is hard to write but time has come for the next chapter in my story to begin. But the bond I share with you is unbreakable. There's so many things I want to say about the city of Toronto, Canada as a nation,» Lowry posted on Instagram.

...Toronto will forever be my 2nd home and I will always be tied to the franchise, the city and the country of Canada which makes me so happy to say."

Lowry decided to move in Miami to team up with Jimmy Butler where he will have another chance for an NBA ring.

The Heat were having a good offseason, getting Lowry via sign-and-trade and signing forwards PJ Tucker and Markieff Morris. They have also re-signed key players Duncan Robinson and Victor Oladipo.

The Raptors, meanwhile, have started their rebuild, drafting Scottie Barnes as their 4th overall pick in 2021 NBA draft. They were also reportedly shopping big man Pascal Siakam who's the last member of the starting five of 2019 Toronto Raptors championship team.
