Michael Jordan is almost two decades retired from playing basketball but his love for the game will never be gone. Jordan, who is the majority owner of Charlotte Hornets franchise is very hands-on on their players.

Jordan is always ready to help the young NBA players specially those who played for his team. James Bouknight, the 11th pick of 2021 NBA draft for the Hornets is playing on the NBA Summer League on LAs Vegas.

Bouknight had a tough game in Hornets game against the Sacramento Kings. The 6'5 shooting guard just scored 11 points on 36% shooting and 20% from behind the arc. The Hornets went to lose the game to the Kings, 70-80.

Michael Jordan called his prized rookie after the game and gave him some advices.

He critiqued my game, told me what he saw. Not many 20-years-olds fresh in the league can say the best player to ever pick up a basketball is calling to give them pointers." Bouknight said

Bouknight responded with a 23 points, 8 assists and 4 rebounds performance in their 105-106 loss to the San Antonio Spurs.

Although it's a loss, Bouknight still did better than his last game after Jordan called him.
