The Harlem Globetrotters is an American exhibition basketball team. They are known for their combined athleticism, theater, and comedy in their style of play.

The Harlem Globetrotters are entertaining people for almost 100 years. This time they wanted to take it to the next level.

Yesterday, they send a letter to commissioner Adam Silver, signaling their intention to join the NBA as an expansion team.

The last expansion team were the Charlotte Hornets (known as the Charlotte Bobcats back then) which was added in 2004 as NBA's 30th team. Few weeks ago, report says it's widely believed that Seattle will have their team back with Las Vegas as the second option for the expansion team.

NBA legend Wilt Chamberlain played for the Globetrotters before he started his NBA career.
