France Men's Basketball Team Roster for Tokyo Olympics

Three-time NBA Defensive Player of the year and two-time NBA All-Star Rudy Gobert of Utah Jazz will lead the France in its campaign in Tokyo Olympics.

France men's basketball team roster for Tokyo Olympics was released today. It features 5 current and 3 former NBA players.

The current NBA players are Nicolas Batum of LA Clippers, Rudy Gobert of Utah Jazz, Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot of Brooklyn Nets, Frank Ntikilina of New York Knicks, Evan Fournier of Boston Celtics.

Three former NBA players are also in the roster. Nando De Colo who played for three years with the San Antonio Spurs, Guerschon Yabusele, a former Celtic, and Vincent Poirier who last played with Philadelphia 76ers.


The other four are Andrew Albicy, Thomas Heurtel, Moustapha Fall and Petr Cornelie.

This will be the first time that the France will not be having Tony Parker and Boris Diaw in an Olympic basketball game since the 2016 Rio Olympics.

France, who are led by long-time national team coach Vincent Collet, will compete in Group A against the United States, Iran and the Czech Republic.

The men's basketball competition will run from 25 July to 9 August in Tokyo, Japan.
