Draymond tried to recruit Demar to the Warriors in 2021. Demar's response: F*ck No!

Demar's best years were by far with the Toronto Raptors, the team he got drafted to back in 2009.

He then went on and got traded to the Spurs in the blockbuster deal that sent Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green to Toronto. The Raptors went on the win the championship that following year, while Demar was stuck in San Antonio.

It definitely wasn't easy for the Compton born star, he even admitted that it was hard to watch the Raps lift the trophy in 2019.


His time with the Spurs didn't go as planned, it was clear that Demar didnt enjoy playing for the franchise and wanted a change. He went on to test Free Agency in 2021, and signed a 3 year $85 million dollars contract with the Bulls.

Before signing that contract, Draymond just revealed that he tried to get Demar to the bay area but ultimately failed. Draymond had Demar on his podcast The Draymond Green show, and they both spoke about the possibility of Demar joining them.
