Dallas Mavericks Nearing Deal With New GM and Head Coach

The Dallas Mavericks made a major revamp in their front office and coaching staff last week, letting go of long-time head coach Rick Carlisle, and GM Don Nelson.

According to ESPN insider Adrian Wojnarowksi, the Mavs are closing on hiring a new GM with Lakers assistant coach Jason Kidd as the favorite to land the head coaching job.


Kidd, who won a championship with the Mavericks had the support of his former teammate, Dirk Nowtizki.



The Mavs and Kidd have already started contract negotiations.
