Chris Paul just agreed to a four-year, $120 million contract with the Phoenix Suns, essentially keeping him with the team until the end of his career. It was a major payday for the point guard and a show of force by the Suns, who are still hunting for that championship trophy.

Paul is a hot commodity and other teams were angling to land him. One of those teams was the New Orleans Pelicans, Paul's former team. According to Brian Windhorst, their deal definitely made Paul consider them.

Paul heading back to the Pelican would have been a huge deal. He started his explosive career there - back when the Pelicans were still the Hornets - and was a runaway hit from the jump. If he returned now, he would play alongside NBA sensation Zion Williamson. The fireworks on the court with those two would have been explosive.

The fact that Paul "entertained" the idea of shipping back to New Orleans shows that while he might be happy in Phoenix, he is definitely feeling a little restless. His time to get a ring is running out and Paul wants to win.
