Bradley Beal will not play in 2021 Olympics
Less than 24 hours after the report that team USA and Wizards star Bradley Beal had entered health and safety protocols, Adrian Wojnarowski reports that Beal will not play at all in the 2021 Tokyo Olympic Games.
It appears that team USA has known about this news, and has been actively searching for a replacement player for Beal since he entered health and safety protocols on Wednesday. Beal, who starts for team USA, represents the loss of a significant scoring threat for the team.
Luckily for team USA, their recent shortcomings have been mostly on the defensive end, and it's unlikely that they'll struggle to score at any point in the tournament. It's still unknown if any other players in contact with Beal will also enter safety protocols.
