Report: MRI results on Luka Doncic's hamstring revealed, Mavericks to reassess him this weekend

Coach Jason Kidd informed reporters that an MRI on Dallas Mavericks' star Luka Doncic's troubled hamstring showed no significant issues before their game against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday night.

Doncic remained absent from the team's trip to Oklahoma City and sat out Thursday's match, having left early from the previous game against the Golden State Warriors due to left hamstring discomfort.

Kidd stated that Doncic's condition will be reassessed over the weekend, with the Mavericks' next game scheduled for Sunday against the Denver Nuggets at home.

The hamstring injury disrupted Doncic's streak of seven consecutive triple-doubles on Wednesday, as he concluded the game against the Warriors with 21 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 assists before exiting in the fourth quarter.


Doncic was spotted with a warming pad on his left hamstring before stepping onto the court just 22 seconds prior. However, he left the game shortly after throwing an alley-oop to center Daniel Gafford during a timeout, visibly uncomfortable upon landing. He promptly informed coach Jason Kidd of his need to exit the game and proceeded to the locker room.

Throughout his streak, Doncic achieved NBA milestones, including setting records for the most consecutive triple-doubles with at least 35 points (five) and 30 points (six).
