Clippers list Kawhi Leonard as questionable for Game 4 vs the Mavs
Los Angeles Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard is listed as questionable for Game 4 against the Dallas Mavericks, dealing with a knee injury, according to head coach Tyronn Lue. The Clippers, trailing 2-1 in their first-round playoff series, may face another game without their star player. Leonard was absent for Game 1, which the Clippers managed to win impressively, but has had limited impact since his return, scoring 15 points in Game 2 and only nine in Game 3.
Lue mentioned that Leonard participated in a noncontact practice session and did some light shooting on Saturday. Despite his struggles, Leonard expressed a desire to contribute in Game 3, opting to play limited minutes rather than sitting out entirely. He had missed the last eight games of the regular season and the series opener due to his knee issue. On the opposing side, the Mavericks have also listed their key player, Luka Doncic, as questionable for Game 4 due to right knee soreness. Mavericks coach Jason Kidd, however, downplayed concerns post-practice on Saturday, affirming that Doncic is "good."
Leonard remains hopeful about his recovery, stating on Friday night that he and the medical team are optimistic about resolving his knee problems. As the series progresses, both teams face uncertainties with their leading players potentially sidelined.
