The worst has been confirmed for the Los Angeles Lakers
The upcoming Celtics-Lakers game on Thursday at TD Garden will be without the notable presence of both LeBron James and Anthony Davis for the first time this season. While some may speculate about their absence in relation to facing Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and the leading Celtics, it is more likely a result of the Lakers' demanding schedule—playing their third game in four nights and fourth in six days.
Anthony Davis was also absent from Tuesday's game, citing bilateral Achilles tendinopathy and a left hip spasm as contributing factors. These were the same issues that led to his early exit during Monday night's game against the Rockets. On the other hand, LeBron James will be sidelined due to a left ankle peroneal tendinopathy. This marks the sixth game missed by the 39-year-old this season.
The 24-25 Lakers aim to redeem themselves after the Christmas Day loss to the Celtics and last season's controversial defeat in Boston. However, they face this challenge without their two key players against the top-ranking team in the league.
