Draymond Green Injury Update

Draymond Green was announced as being out during the Warriors' Wednesday night loss to the Nuggets. No specific details were announced, but it was noted that Green was missing from the rotation due to personal reasons. It has now been announced that he is expected to make his return on Saturday against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Greens Impact to Warriors

With the Warriors fielding one of the smallest roster sizes in the NBA, Green's absence is a significant blow. He plays well above his size and helps anchor the entire defense with his on-court leadership. While stars like Curry, Thompson, and Wiggins ensure a strong offense, their defense is expected to be lackluster until Green's return.


Injury Prone Green

Now in his mid-30s, Green is no longer the iron man he once was. His season averages have dropped from the high 70s/80s to just 58.2 over the last 5 seasons. With Wednesday night's game in addition to the two he missed to start the season, Green has only played in 6 of the Warriors' games thus far and is likely to be absent for much of the season once again.
