Controversial NBA Star Set to Return After Significant Absence

The Brooklyn Nets have been without their star guard Ben Simmons for most of this season. In Reality Ben Simmons has missed more time with the Nets than games played. It was the same way he ended his tenure with the Philadelphia 76ers. Simmons has missed time throughout his career due to injury, and at times just refusal to play (which happened in Philly). He has been controversial since he stepped foot in the league, going number 1 in the draft to the Sixers without having a developed jump shot, and playing point guard.

Per Bridget Reilly of The New York Post, Simmons is set to return to the Nets lineup this week.


Simmons has been out since November 6th with a back injury. Simmons has played 6 healthy games this year, in those games he posted 6.5 points per game, 10.8 rebounds per game and 6.7 assists per game. He is listed as probable for the Monday night matchup with the Utah Jazz.
