Clippers Guard Injured in Preseason
The Los Angeles Clippers' injury curse appears to have struck again as guard Bones Hyland suffered a left ankle sprain in Thursday's preseason match against the Nuggets.

Trade
Hyland was a late first-round pick in 2021 and spent his first season in the NBA playing for the Nuggets, where he earned All-Rookie 2nd Team honors. Partway through his second season, he was traded to the Los Angeles Clippers, where he remains today.
The Clippers gave up 2 second-round picks for Hyland in a deal that made sense for both teams. The Clippers were lacking guards to fill out their rotation, while the Nuggets had an excess of guards such as Jamal Murray, Bruce Brown, and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.
Bones Impressive Performance
Before his unfortunate injury, Hyland was having an incredible game for the Clippers. Before leaving the court, he had over twice the number of points as any other Clipper and finished with a total of 25 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists.
There is currently no reports detailing the severity of this injury or how much time Bones Hyland is expected to miss.
