USC's Bronny James faces punishment after delivering a monstrous block
Bronny James, representing Southern California, quickly left his mark in his debut against UCLA. Early in the game, he impressively blocked a shot from UCLA's Dylan Andrews. However, his celebratory actions, notably yelling «give me that (stuff)" in the direction of Andrews and the audience at the Galen Center, resulted in him receiving his first collegiate technical foul. This incident occurred with 12:06 left in the first half, leading to UCLA's Lazar Stefanovic scoring two free throws, pushing the Bruins ahead 13-10. James, who had been a starter in the previous three games, was playing off the bench and had to sit out briefly after the foul before returning in the latter part of the first half.
James, a 6-foot-4 guard, has been averaging 5.9 points over 11 games. His start to the season was delayed as he recovered from a cardiac arrest in July, causing him to miss the initial eight games. This incident highlights his journey back to form and his growing influence on the court despite the setback of the technical foul.
