The NBA has revealed significant alterations to the 2024 NBA All-Star Game format, taking place on Sunday, February 18 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, home to the Indiana Pacers. This move honors Indiana's rich basketball history.

Classic Matchup Returns

The 73rd NBA All-Star Game brings back the classic showdown between the Eastern and Western Conferences. Additionally, the traditional scoring system with four 12-minute quarters is making a comeback.

Voting Process Unchanged

The process to select NBA All-Stars remains unaltered, with 12 players chosen from each conference.

Charity at the Forefront

The untimed fourth quarter has been retired, and the game will not conclude when a team hits the Final Target Score. However, the teams will continue to compete in each quarter, aiming to win for a charitable organization of their choice.

Captain Selection

Team captains for the NBA All-Star Game will still be named, with the All-Star starter from each conference who garners the highest fan votes leading their respective teams. This is part of the NBA All-Star Voting presented by AT&T.

Worldwide Coverage

The 2024 NBA All-Star Game will be broadcast on TNT in the United States, reaching fans in over 200 countries and territories in more than 50 languages.

Indianapolis, after a long hiatus since 1985, is proud to host the NBA All-Star Game once again.
