Kevin Durant is no stranger to calling out fans on social media. Ever since he joined the Golden State Warriors in 2017, he has been one of the most targeted NBA stars online. After his burner account was exposed, he started responding to many fans online and calling out their hate.

This year is no different for Durant, as he has already had comments go viral. Fans have been mocking and making hateful comments about the new Phoenix Big 3. The most recent example is him sarcastically responding to one fan who called the Suns "frauds."

Kevin Durant Hate

Durant seemingly went from being one of the most beloved NBA stars to one of the most hated in a matter of hours after he left the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2017. Many fans considered this move a betrayal to the Thunder and, more specifically, his long-time teammate Russell Westbrook. Other fans were angry because they thought it was unfair for the former MVP to join the 73-9 Warriors, who had just come off the greatest regular season in NBA history.

Despite not playing for the Warriors in over four years, Durant's popularity has not returned, and he still finds himself the target of online hate. The main comments are made in reference to the failed superteam he assembled in Brooklyn with James Harden and Kyrie Irving, and now the new Big 3 he has formed with Bradley Beal and Devin Booker in Phoenix.

Suns Big 3

Durant is now on his third so-called "superteam" after demanding a trade from the Nets last season. Playing with Devin Booker and Chris Paul, Durant managed to lead the Suns to the second round of the playoffs last season before unfortunately losing to the eventual champion Denver Nuggets.

This year, they have entirely adjusted their roster and brought in Wizards superstar Bradley Beal. The Big 3 pairing in Phoenix managed to average 80.1 points per game between them, and this newly loaded offensive powerhouse is backed as the second-best team in the West by sportsbooks. This new Suns roster has only given haters another reason to criticize Durant, as they now claim that he can only succeed when playing with multiple All-Stars.

Durant is now 35 years old and certainly coming towards the end of his career. While many may be hating on him now, there is no doubt that he is one of the all-time greatest scorers and will certainly be missed.
