Knicks Star Reveals His Son's Hilarious Trade Request

In a recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Julius Randle, the New York Knicks All-Star, shared an endearing tale about his son, Kyden's, love for basketball.

Kyden has been a fixture at Madison Square Garden ever since Randle joined the team in 2019. In 2021, he surprised his father with the Most Improved Player award and passionately supported the team during the playoffs. His competitive spirit was on full display when he expressed disappointment in Julius's performance during the 2023 All-Star Three-Point Contest.

Dealing with the New York media, Randle quipped, is a cakewalk compared to facing his oldest son after a loss. He humorously recounted an incident when, after the Knicks' win streak ended last season, Kyden suggested,

"You should ask for a trade."

 

Julius Randle's Son's Trade Suggestion

Randle revealed that his son urged him to seek a trade after New York enjoyed eight or nine consecutive victories, a feat accomplished twice in the 2022-2023 season. The Knicks achieved an eight-game win streak in December and an impressive nine-game run from late February to early March.
