Madison Square Garden is arguably the most famous arena in the world and home to the New York Knicks. With such a historic venue to play in, many NBA stars push themselves to even higher limits to create memorable moments in history. The latest moment occurred with Suns star Devin Booker hitting an insane game-winner to defeat the Knicks 116-113.

Booker's Insane Game Winner

The Knicks are known for being a really good, tough defensive side. Paired with the famously hostile New York crowd, a game away at Madison Square Garden becomes incredibly difficult to win.

However, despite this challenging environment, Devin Booker managed to lead his Phoenix Suns squad to a very tight victory, all without the help of star teammates Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal. Booker, tallying 28 points with 11 assists, was the clear player of the game, and his insane 3-pointer with just 1.7 seconds on the clock topped off this incredible performance.

Booker Calls Knicks Soft

Following his impressive game, Booker went on to trash-talk the Knicks. He commented on his desire to take the final shot and cited the Knicks' defense as "soft" in this particular instance, which gave him the confidence to make the game-winner.

«For a game-winner, I'm feeling I'm taking that shot unless they super blitz me to where I can't even see the hoop, but any soft pressure like that, I feel like if I raise up and I have it on my right side that nobody can really get to it. I know it sounds crazy, but it feels like an open shot and when you let it go, it's good.»

Booker is known as a trash-talker and has had numerous run-ins involving players like Klay Thompson and Luka Doncic in the past. This time, his trash-talking has been backed up, as he commented on the feeling of creating an iconic moment at an arena like MSG.

«I'm a part of history now, it feels like, It means a lot. If you're a fan of the game and you're a fan of history, you should feel that upon arrival, right? When we touch down in New York City, even when I'm here in the summer and I get the chance to drive by MSG, it just gives you a certain feeling.»

This latest victory now puts Phoenix at 11-6 for the season so far. With such a positive start, even without fielding their best lineup of Booker, Durant, and Beal all together, the future for this team looks very promising.
