Bucks' Player Sidelined for Two Months
In a blow to the Milwaukee Bucks, forward Jae Crowder will be out of action for approximately two months due to a left adductor and abdominal tear, as revealed by the team on Monday. This setback follows his departure from Saturday's game against the Magic, initially diagnosed as a groin strain.
Coach Griffin's Perspective
Coach Adrian Griffin expressed the challenges in the world of sports, acknowledging Crowder's remarkable condition at the start of the season. He emphasized Crowder's significance to the team's future endeavors.
"Sports can be brutal at times," Griffin stated before Monday's game against the Bulls. "[Crowder] came into training camp in phenomenal shape -- mind, body, and spirit -- and he's a tremendous piece of what we're trying to do moving forward."
Stats Snapshot
Despite the unfortunate turn of events, Jae Crowder had been a standout performer for the Bucks in the first nine games of the season. Averaging 8.1 points and 3.9 rebounds with an impressive shooting percentage of 53% (52% from 3), he held the third-highest minutes per game, trailing behind stars Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard.
Transformation under Griffin
Acquired by the Bucks in a trade last February, Crowder faced challenges in the latter half of the 2022-23 season. However, under Coach Griffin's guidance, he emerged as a key reserve, contributing significantly in all nine games this year and even making two spot starts in the absence of Khris Middleton.
"He'll be back," Griffin reassured about Crowder. "He'll be back way before the playoffs to get his rhythm back."
