Alex Antetokounmpo signs and his new team will shock you

The Milwaukee Bucks announced an offseason signing this morning, inking a one-year deal with the youngest Antetokounmpo brother, Alex. While the contract details remain undisclosed, it is highly likely that it's an Exhibit 10 contract, which entails a one-year minimum with bonus options. This addition reunites Alex with his brothers, Giannis and Thanasis Antetokounmpo. However, this arrangement might be temporary, as the Bucks currently have 21 roster spots filled, and they must trim it down to 15 for the regular season. This could result in Alex potentially playing for the Bucks' G-League affiliate, the Wisconsin Herd, or even becoming a two-way player, allowing him to switch between the Herd and the Bucks.

After going undrafted in 2021, Alex has already spent two seasons in the G-League, including last year, where he played for the Herd. With stars like Pascal Siakam, Fred VanVleet, and his new teammate Khris Middleton successfully transitioning from the G-League to the NBA, Alex could be the latest star to emerge from the NBA's developmental system.

In light of reports suggesting that his older brother Giannis is growing increasingly discontent with his situation in Milwaukee, the signing of Alex may have been an attempt to keep the two-time MVP content and convince him to remain with the organization. If Alex secures a spot on the main roster for the upcoming NBA season alongside his two brothers, the Bucks would make history by fielding three brothers in the same season. While siblings have played alongside each other in the NBA before, such as the Morris Twins in Phoenix and Dominique and Gerald Wilkins in Orlando, the Bucks' trio would be a unique occurrence.

Notably, Alex's two older brothers, Thanasis and Giannis, have already made history as the first brothers to win an NBA championship together after the Bucks' victory in 2021. They aim to replicate this achievement and secure a title with all three brothers next year.
