Tyler Herro is Taking Shots at the Portland Trail Blazers

With Damian Lillard expressly requesting a trade to the Miami Heat, it appeared to be only a matter of time before he would end up there. The Heat possesses a wealth of assets, including Tyler Herro, draft picks, and other valuable young talent. A trade involving these assets could have easily propelled the Heat to the top of the Eastern Conference.

However, as we are aware, things didn't unfold as anticipated. The Milwaukee Bucks ended up acquiring the All-Star guard, leaving the Miami Heat without a reliable floor general.

Reportedly, the Portland Trail Blazers were seeking even more draft picks and young players than what the Heat were initially offering because they had no interest in a trade involving Tyler Herro.

Former 6th Man of the Year, Tyler Herro, didn't react positively to this and expressed his dissatisfaction with the Portland Trail Blazers, using some choice words.



Herro, a first-round draft pick by the Heat in 2019, has consistently proven to be one of Miami's most impactful talents over the years. Last season, he averaged 20.1 PPG, shot 37.8% from three, and led the league in free-throw percentage at 93.4%. At the young age of 23, he possesses significant potential for offensive growth, which could greatly contribute to Miami's pursuit of an NBA championship.

This situation is likely to ignite a fire within Herro for two distinct reasons. Firstly, the Heat were willing to trade him in pursuit of a superior player, potentially challenging his value within the team. Secondly, it implies that the Trail Blazers do not perceive him as a valuable asset to their roster. Hopefully, these factors will serve as motivation, propelling Tyler Herro and the Miami Heat closer to claiming that elusive NBA Championship.
