In Sunday's 150-145 win against Indiana, Dinwiddie recorded 26 points (8-11 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 8-9 FT), along with two rebounds, five assists, two blocks, and one steal in 35 minutes of play. With D'Angelo Russell out due to illness, Dinwiddie stepped up admirably, delivering his finest performance yet as a Laker. While he hadn't surpassed 11 points in previous games with the team, his standout fill-in effort underscores the Lakers' solid backcourt depth. Despite this, his role on the depth chart limits his fantasy appeal.

Following the Los Angeles Lakers' victory over the Indiana Pacers, Anthony Davis addressed NBA reporters regarding Spencer Dinwiddie's performance.

Filling in for the sidelined D'Angelo Russell, Dinwiddie showcased his finest display yet as a Laker.

''How he played tonight, we need him to play like that the rest of the season,» Davis said. «Instant offense that he can score when he wants. He's a big guard. He can defend. He plays like that, add DLo back to the mix, other guys we're getting healthy, we are going to be a tough team to beat. But we are going to need him to be the Spencer he was tonight.''

The Lakers are elevating their season record to 39-32 and extending their winning streak to three games.

Dinwiddie was traded from the Brooklyn Nets to the Toronto Raptors on February 8. Subsequently waived by the Raptors, Dinwiddie joined the Lakers after clearing NBA waivers.

In his 17 appearances with the Lakers, Dinwiddie holds averages of 6.2 points, 1.1 rebounds, and 2.8 assists, with an impressive plus-minus of +73.

Currently occupying ninth place in the Western Conference standings, the Lakers face an upcoming stretch of six consecutive road games.

''It's been flip-flopping so much over the last few weeks, I kind of stopped looking at it,» Lakers superstar LeBron James said of the West standings. «Just kind of just like focusing on each game at a time. So, obviously, we know where we are right now. Just continue trying to play some good basketball. That's a very testy road trip for us. But we're looking forward to it.''

After making it to the Western Conference Finals last season, it remains intriguing to observe whether the Lakers will secure a spot in the 2024 playoffs.
