JJ Redick could be the Lakers' next head coach if Darvin Ham is fired
Hold onto your hats, Lakers fans! The coaching carousel is spinning, and it looks like former NBA sharpshooter JJ Redick might just jump on. Yep, you heard it here—Redick is being buzzed about as a potential replacement if the Lakers decide it's time to part ways with current coach Darvin Ham. While nothing's set in stone, the rumor mill's churning, and Dave McMenamin of ESPN dropped the scoop that Redick could be in the mix.
"JJ [Redick] certainly is a real candidate if they do open up this coaching search," McMenamin said Thursday during an appearance on the Dan Patrick Show. "There's, I'd say, half a dozen folks out there, including possibly the guy who just lost last night against the Mavericks, Tyronn Lue ... that there will be a process there that there are several viable candidates that will get an interview."
Now, let's not forget, Darvin Ham hasn't been officially shown the door just yet. He's still got to sit down with the Lakers' brass to figure out if he's sticking around for the 2024-25 season. But if they do decide to make a switch? It looks like Redick could be their guy.

He's even snagged an interview for the Charlotte Hornets' coaching spot recently, proving he's a seroius contender in the coaching game. Could the Lakers be next on his list? Stay tuned!
