During the Lakers' recent victory against the Houston Rockets, some might have anticipated a heated exchange involving LeBron James and his rival Dillon Brooks. Surprisingly, the league's oldest player instead, engaged in an altercation with Rockets head coach Ime Udoka, resulting in Udoka's ejection after their courtside exchange.

While transitioning back on defense, James lingered behind and engaged with Udoka in front of the Rockets' bench. While this altercation likely had no impact on the Lakers' eventual win, Udoka appeared visibly frustrated after the game. He criticized the Lakers and deliberately avoided mentioning James, referring to him only as "The Player." Conversely, James seemed to brush off the incident post-game, joking that their conversation revolved around their enjoyment of Thanksgiving.

Udoka Trashes the Lakers

Following this victory, the Lakers now hold a 12-9 record for the season. Despite their strong start, Udoka had little praise for the purple and gold. Instead, he focused on highlighting the mistakes made by his team and implied that the Lakers are "soft."


As the Rockets' head coach in his inaugural season, Ime believes his team should have secured the win. He pointed out that the loss could be attributed to their performance in a single quarter. The Rockets began strongly, winning the opening quarter 30-25 and also outscoring the Lakers in the second half with a score of 53-47. However, they suffered a significant setback in the second quarter when LeBron and his team orchestrated a 25-2 run, which proved pivotal in determining the outcome of the game.
