This week we had the first meeting between the new loom Mavericks and Lakers squads. With both teams expecting to go deep into the playoffs it is likely that this game was a preview for a future playoff series.

Despite appearing to be comfortably ahead of the Lakers for most of the game, Los Angeles staged an incredible 20-point comeback during the fourth quarter. The comeback was largely spearheaded by LeBron James, who scored 13 points in the final quarter. However, despite his efforts, he fumbled in the crucial final minute, turning the ball over and ultimately costing them the match.
