Anthony Davis Injury Update
Following the injury scare of star player Anthony Davis in the Lakers' most recent loss to the Heat, details have emerged revealing the severity of the injury and how much time Davis will be out.
Exit in the Heat GameDuring the loss to the Heat, Davis appeared to be struggling throughout. He did manage to play 25 minutes; however, it was clear that he was playing through pain and ultimately had to leave the match during the 3rd quarter.
Since the game, it was announced that Davis was suffering from spasms in both his hip and groin and that it was not too serious. This slight injury may be a sign of what is to come, with Davis averaging the 2nd most minutes per game in the NBA so far this season and his history of health issues. The Lakers will surely need to adjust their rotation and find a way to reduce Davis' minutes.
Davis Expected Return Date
The injury is not perceived as anything serious, and Davis himself is said to be "confident" about returning to play in the Lakers' Wednesday night game against the Rockets.
With the Lakers starting off with a 3-4 record, it is pivotal that Davis plays as soon as possible, especially with other players such as Rui Hachimura and Jaxson Hayes already out on the Lakers' injury list. So, this is great news for Lakers fans.
