LA Clippers' star Russell Westbrook has a strong presence in the Los Angeles community. Recently, in an Instagram post, Westbrook unveiled a partnership with Target to develop 180 affordable housing units in South Central LA.
With a commitment to making a difference in his hometown, Westbrook channels considerable resources into initiatives in South Central LA. This latest venture kickstarts the construction of 180 new affordable housing units in the area."We have this platform, and me personally I really pride myself on trying to be the face of Los Angeles when it comes to our community. I'm from LA, and I feel like it's my duty and my honor to give back to as many people as possible - especially the underserved communities of Los Angeles. I will do everything I can to make sure I continue to fill some of these gaps, whether it's education, whether it's finances, whether it's healthcare. Whatever that may be, I try my best to do the best I can."
Westbrook actively supports LA, consistently making a difference in his community. This latest move is just one example of his ongoing impact.
