It was a promising look for the Los Angeles Clippers, who had their stars in the lineup squaring off against the Denver Nuggets, who were resting their big guns last night during the evening matinee.

How did the Los Angeles Clippers fare in the contest?

The game was poised to be in the Clipper's hands, but, the Denver Nuggets had another idea of playing the game in their favor. The Nuggets team had dominated in the fourth quarter to secure the victory, not to mention that the Nuggets team had played a completely solid game throughout the contest.

James Harden was held to just 11 points in the game, while Kawi Leonard scored 31 points, and Paul George with 8 points, 2 assists, and 4 rebounds.

Most importantly, the defense had shut down the Clipper's offense for most of the contest, where the Clippers were having a difficult time adjusting to their opponent's game in general.

A genuine opportunity for the Los Angeles Clippers slipped away

This was an opportunity for the Clippers to take a win, but had rather come out soft, so to speak, and just could not muster up the offense needed to take that win against the opposing team the Denver Nuggets. Who basically were on fire from the get-go of the match-up.

Former Los Angeles Clippers players Reggie Jackson and De'Andre Jordan were the most excited to play against their former squad as they had racked up the points for their team and dominated the Clipper's defense, to say the least.

The big two of the Denver Nuggets

Reggie Jackson of the Nuggets scored 35 points, with 13 rebounds, and 5 rebounds. Teammate De'Andre Jordan, who scored 21 points, 5 assists, and 13 rebounds.

Both had a good game against the Los Angeles Clippers and overall played the role the Nuggets coach was hoping for from both players. Both were also the story of the night.

As a combined unit the Denver Nuggets played a thorough defensively prime game, and let the big two do the work in the offensive zone to their best, which got them the lop-sided win.
