Houston Rockets center Alperen Sengun left the game against the Sacramento Kings in a wheelchair after an apparent leg injury. The incident happened in the final minute of the fourth quarter as he landed awkwardly while contesting a layup.

Sengun, visibly in pain, had to be assisted off the floor and will undergo an MRI on his right knee and ankle on Monday, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

The young Turkish center was having a breakout third season in the NBA, posting career-high averages of 21.2 points, 9.4 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game.

Despite his impressive performance, Houston finds itself outside playoff contention, ranking 11th in the Western Conference with a 28-35 record.
