Kyrie Irving will not be playing for the Mavs tonight, bringing his total missed games this season to 18 and disqualifying him from All-NBA or Award selections.

According to the league's new Player Participation Policy, players must compete in a minimum of 65 games to be considered for major individual awards like Most Valuable Player, Defensive Player of the Year, and All-NBA. As we surpass the 40-game mark this season, reaching the halfway point is on the horizon.

Ja Morant, Zach LaVine, Darius Garland, and now Kyrie Irving are among the stars ineligible for end-of-season awards due to the new game minimum requirement.

Here is the complete list of other players currently disqualified:

Zach LaVine: 19 games missed.
Tyler Herro: 19 games missed.
Evan Mobley: 19 games missed.
Darius Garland: 20 games missed.
Bojan Bogdanovic: 21 games missed.
LaMelo Ball: 21 games missed.
Anfernee Simons: 22 games missed.
Marcus Smart: 22 games missed.
Bradley Beal: 24 games missed.
Draymond Green: 24 games missed.
Ben Simmons: 36 games missed.
Ja Morant: 34 games missed.
