Shocking Bulls Stars in Trade Talks Instead of Lavine and Derozan
The Chicago Bulls are currently the most discussed team regarding trades in the NBA. With only 5 wins in their first 15 games this season, it's evident that their current roster isn't configured for contention. Consequently, all rumors indicate they're poised to initiate a new rebuild. To kickstart this process, they'll likely need to trade away most of their major stars. Surprisingly, the most sought-after players in these talks are not Lavine, DeRozan, or Vucevic.
Bulls AssetsDespite their ongoing struggles this season, it might seem peculiar to suggest that the Bulls possess a few valuable players who could attract numerous offers. Players like Nikola Vucevic and DeMar DeRozan are veteran players with a consistent track record over the last decade. They undoubtedly will garner interest from several contending teams like the Heat or 76ers seeking last-minute contributors.
Zach LaVine is also incredibly valuable at the moment. At 28 years old, he's entering his prime and has showcased his scoring prowess this season, notably dropping 50 points against the Pistons. Furthermore, he is under contract for another 3 seasons beyond this one, ensuring long-term value for any team trading for him. These factors have sparked interest from teams like the Warriors and Lakers.

Ongoing Bulls Trade Talks
It has been a highly touted rumor that nearly every NBA team sent some form of representation to Chicago ahead of the Champions Classic tip-off. While many were there to scout future draft prospects in the NCAA tournament, it was also revealed that many of these representatives were also in discussions with the Bulls regarding the availability of certain players.
While one might assume that the majority of teams would pursue Zach LaVine, one NBA insider has reported differently.
NBA Insider Reveals
While the three best and most valuable players remain Lavine, Derozan and Vucevic Marc Stein has revealed that the Bulls have more interest elsewhere. Stein has actually revealed that throughout November most inquisitions have been made about either Alex Caruso or Patrick Williams.
«Alex Caruso who as we've previously noted would have a double-digit list of trade suitors if the Bulls decided to make him available (which they haven't),»
«Patrick Williams who still intrigues various teams despite his extremely underwhelming start to the season after the former No. 4 overall pick and the Bulls did not come to terms on a contract extension before the Oct. 23 deadline for Class of 2020 first-round picks,»
Caruso is a former Champion and can fill a spot on any roster as a player that competes on both ends of the floor, whereas Williams demand is more unusual. The former number 4 pick is just 22 years old and has not blossomed into a star by any means. considering his poor start to the season this far it does seem odd that teams are more interested in him over former All-Stars but nonetheless there is huge upside for a young talent like Williams.
