Michael Jordan Accused of Charging Rapper Thousands

Michael Jordan is one of the most famous athletes of all time. Even some mega stars themselves have admitted to idolizing Jordan, most notably Jay-Z, who said talking to Jordan was a "dream." He wrote in his autobiography, "Decoded," about how much he loves Jordan and the time when Jordan personally invited him to dinner.


Not all people are fans of Jordan; however, this sentiment is particularly prevalent within the rap community, where MJ has a reputation for being "rude." This is exemplified by a story shared by rapper 'Chamillionaire,' who alleged that Jordan blindsided him with a demand for $15,000. The hip-hop star, who was initially a fan of Jordan, approached him with a request for a photo and a jersey.


This may be where the saying "never meet your heroes" originates, but it's not an uncommon occurrence. NBA stars are well-known for requesting money from fans, as demonstrated in a recent viral video featuring Jimmy Butler demanding money to play a one-on-one game with a fan.
