With all signs pointing towards a complete tear up and rebuild pf the current roster one Chicago Bulls star has now spoken out revealing possible hints at his future in the NBA.

Derozan On His Bulls Future

While many other stars are embracing the recent rumors, such as Zach Lavine revealing his preferred trade destination, DeRozan has taken a different approach to the ongoing situation in Chicago.

In an interview with the Chicago Tribune, DeMar revealed that he has not been paying attention to any of the latest rumors and is focused on remaining in Chicago.

«I love it here. Obviously it's a place I want to be in my career. None of that has changed. I don't have no other type of doubts or feelings or suggestions to be elsewhere. That don't cross my mind.»

Recent Struggles in Chicago

While the majority of the conference has made substantial improvements, the Bulls have made no significant changes to the core group they've had over the last 3-4 seasons. Despite the presence of numerous All-Stars and experienced role players, this current lineup hasn't been able to click, and things have hit rock bottom after a disastrous start to the season.

The 10-17 record seems to be the final straw, suggesting an imminent overhaul of the Bulls. However, DeRozan isn't ready to give up just yet. He revealed his intention to fight through the struggles in an effort to salvage this season.

«When things ain't going right, it's always easy to throw those narratives out there,» DeRozan said. «It's just about how you get through it and how you accept the challenge that's ahead.»

Future For Derozan

Unlike many other stars in Chicago, DeRozan's value isn't particularly high at the moment. He's currently 34 years old and in the final year of his contract. Consequently, any team trading for him will acquire an aging star without guarantees of him staying beyond this season.

However, despite these factors, many still believe that the 6-time All-Star has some gas left in the tank and could serve as, at the very least, a valuable third-option scorer for a contending team. Considering this, it's likely that if a potential DeRozan trade happens then it would likely occur around the trade deadline as teams become more desperate to bolster their championship aspirations.
