An 18-year-old man was apprehended by the Highland Park Police Department for attempting to break into the former home of basketball legend Michael Jordan in Highland Park, Illinois on Tuesday.

Raiden K. Hagedorn was charged with three counts of criminal trespassing and two counts of property damage following the incident, according to a report by the Lake & McHenry County Scanner.

Police responded to reports of a burglary at Jordan's former residence after concerned neighbors alerted the authorities. Hagedorn was found at the scene and subsequently arrested. He has since been released on bond and is scheduled to appear in court on April 20.

Despite the attempted break-in, it's worth noting that Michael Jordan no longer resides in the property. In fact, he put the 56-square-foot estate up for sale back in 2012. Nonetheless, the house still drew attention for its unique feature of displaying Jordan's iconic jersey number 23 at the entrance.
