Susupension
In 2022, Bridges made unfortunate headlines when he was involved in a domestic incident with the mother of his children. Bridges was accused of threatening his former partner before launching billiard balls at her car, which had both her and the children inside.
Bridges avoided jail time through a plea deal that sentenced him to 3 years of probation. In addition to his criminal charges, the NBA conducted its own investigation and suspended Miles for 30 games. Twenty of those were credited to the previous season as Bridges sat out, but the remaining 10 were to be served at the beginning of this season, with the final game taking place during Charlotte's match against the Miami Heat.
Bridges Return
With Bridges set to return on Saturday, head coach Steve Clifford has spoken out about Bridges' return and plans to thrust him straight back into the thick of it. When he last played in 2022, he was a key player for the Hornets, averaging over 20 points and 7 rebounds. Clifford aims for Bridges to reclaim his spot and regain his form.
"The big thing for me, obviously, is two years ago he was the high scorer, high rebounder. Since he's been here he's had a great attitude. He's been a terrific worker. He is a great teammate, and he's a really, really good player. He's got himself in good shape, and he'll play a big role right away."
