Kristaps Porzingis will be out for several weeks, reports say
Unfortunately, Kristaps Porzingis won't be hitting the court for Game 5 due to a pesky right soleus strain, part of the calf muscle. It's a tough blow for the Celtics as they look to close out the series against the Heat. The average recovery time for this kind of injury is about 17 days, so it looks like we'll be missing Porzingis for a few games.
In his absence, veteran Al Horford is expected to step up in the starting lineup, with Luke Kornet providing backup off the bench. The Celtics still hold a 3-1 lead in the series, but Porzingis' absence will surely be felt as they aim to secure the win and advance to the next round.Coach Joe Mazzulla remains optimistic, stating that the team's approach won't change despite Porzingis' absence. Let's hope the rest of the squad can step up and get the job done without him on the court.
''Bringing the same mindset, intentionality, toughness, details to the next game regardless of who's available,'' Mazzulla said. ''It doesn't matter. There's no difference between the regular season and the playoffs. And all year, we've had guys step in and play.''
