Multiple Teams Emerge as Frontrunners to Land Blake Griffin

Former number 1 overall pick and 6x All Star Blake Griffin is at the forefront of free agency speculation today as reports suggest that there are multiple teams wanting to sign the 34 year old. It is no secret that Griffin is heading toward the twilight of his career and will be taking a lesser role than previous after disappointing stints in Detroit, Brooklyn, and with the Celtics last year where he averaged career lows in points and in rebounds.

Despite this Blake has multiple championship contending teams vying for his signature including the Golden state warriors whom have already acquired Griffin's former teammate Chris Paul on draft day earlier this year. Other leading suitors include the team that drafted him in the los Angeles Clippers and also the Philadelphia 76ers have shown interest.

Griffin Talks About Resigning With Boston

A return to the Celtics is not off the table however as he is said to have have impressed coaches and teammates alike with his experience, hustle and team-first approach. The impression sounds mutual after a recent appearance on the Fore Play Podcast where he said the following;



On the same Podcast Griffin also talked about how much he enjoyed playing in Boston this past year and said this;

This shows that he may has more intention of resigning than we know,
but with many weeks left of free agency there are sure to be more candidates appear in the race to sign the 14 year veteran .
