In a highly anticipated preseason debut for the Boston Celtics, former Milwaukee Bucks standout Jrue Holiday took the court on Sunday. The Celtics faced the Philadelphia 76ers, with both Joel Embiid and James Harden absent from the lineup.

Holiday Reflects on Preseason Debut

Despite these notable absences, the Boston Celtics secured a 114-106 victory. Jrue had a less than ideal debut as he came off the bench, playing for just 21 minutes. He struggled with efficiency, making only 2 out of 10 field goal attempts. However, both of his successful field goals were three-pointers, and he also contributed with 5 rebounds, 1 assist, and 2 steals.

In spite of the slight disappointment, Jrue was in good spirits and had this to CLNS:

"It felt good,"
"Crowd's crazy. The energy in the building's crazy. First preseason game, so it was fun to get out there and just kinda get my feet wet."

Jrue Voices his Opinion on Trade Saga

When questioned about how he felt playing again after experiencing a widely-publicized trade ordeal that led to his surprising departure from the Bucks, the five-time All-Defense guard, Holiday, candidly shared his thoughts:

"I think I'm over it at this point,"
"Just trying to focus on the season. Trying to get acclimated and honestly, go out there and have fun. All the trade stuff I think is kinda passed. I've been going through a whirlwind here, just trying to figure out names and plays and teams, and all that stuff. It's been fun, though."

It appears that Jrue Holiday is rising above the circumstances and is solely focused on his love for the game. The Boston Celtics have acquired a player who not only makes valuable contributions to both ends of the court but also serves as a role model for the rest of the team to emulate.
