We now Know Where Bronny James Will likely Play in the NBA

Bronny James, the son of NBA icon LeBron James, is set to play one season at USC before becoming eligible for the NBA Draft in 2024. This has sparked a great deal of speculation about whether and where Bronny might get drafted. An NBA scout may have given us a hint at where Bronny may end up playing.

The NBA scout has indicated that if the Lakers have their first-round pick available, they will undoubtedly draft Bronny James, as long as he is not already taken by another team. He also compared Bronny's talents to those of NBA veteran Austin Rivers.

«If the Lakers get a pick, they won't pass on him. He's a decent player. He's better than some guys who may get picked ahead of him. He's solid, not spectacular. He knows how to play. He can handle the ball well enough. If you leave him alone, he'll drill a three. He reminds me of Austin Rivers as a player, and he's stayed in the league for over a decade."

This may come as no surprise, as fans have concluded as much ever since LeBron's appearance on "The Shop" last year. During that show, he admitted to wanting to play in the NBA alongside his son. He even signed his most recent contract to end in alignment with Bronny's draft eligibility, ensuring that he will be a free agent once Bronny is drafted.

Despite heading into his 21st NBA season, LeBron James is still a highly productive NBA player. After joining the Lakers in 2019 and winning a championship with the organization in 2020, it makes sense that they would like to keep him around, and drafting his son may be one step toward making that more likely.

Unfortunately, the Lakers do not know if they will have a first-round draft pick to select Bronny with in the upcoming draft. The Pelicans have the rights to the Lakers' 2024 first-round pick but may possibly defer the pick until the 2025 draft. This comes as part of the trade that saw Anthony Davis join the Lakers from New Orleans, and they have the rest of this summer to make a choice on which year they would like.
