The Warriors' recent defeat to the Oklahoma City Thunder extends their ongoing streak of losses to six now. The game against the Thunder remained close all the way until overtime, leading many to now place the blame on Splash Brother Klay Thompson.

It must be noted that during this tough stretch for the Warriors, they haven't been at full strength. They've been without their best offensive player, Stephen Curry, for multiple games due to injury. Additionally, they've now lost their best defensive player, with Draymond Green suspended for choking Rudy Gobert.

Despite these setbacks, they've had opportunities to win games. In fact, during their latest loss, they were up by as many as 18 points in the third quarter before eventually faltering in overtime. Thompson's recent form seems to be one of the primary reasons for this slump, as he is currently experiencing the worst season of his career, leading fans to begin labeling him as 'Washed'.

His recent poor form hit an all-time low in his last game, where he attempted several questionable shots, leaving many fans confused about what is going on with the five-time All-Star.

Klay scored only 16 points but recorded team highs in turnovers and personal fouls. His unusual performance turned disastrous, especially during the stretch in which he went scoreless, missing all six attempts in both the fourth quarter and overtime. This is highly unusual for a star player who boasts a 45% field goal percentage throughout his entire career.

Steve Kerr has now coached Thompson for 9 years and while his form may now be at an all time low Kerr does not seem worried. In fact he went on to state that the losses make Klays Form look worse than it actually is.


Whatever the reason for Klay's recent slump, hopefully, he can overcome it and return to being one of the best shooters on the planet. With the in-season tournament group stage almost complete, the sooner he bounces back, the better for the Warriors.
