The worst is confirmed for Zach Lavine

The Chicago Bulls' star player, Zach LaVine, has been at the forefront of all NBA media for the last month due to the Bulls' willingness to trade him amid interest from teams such as the Lakers, 76ers, and New York Knicks. He has certainly been the main talking point for hoops fans as of late.

However, his latest appearance in the news circle is not so positive, as it was revealed that LaVine has been injured and is set to miss some games for the struggling Bulls.

Lavine Injury

Revealed by NBA insider Shams Charania Lavine is now suffering from right foot soreness and is expected to miss the next week of action at a minimum.

This will undoubtedly be a huge loss for the Bulls who have been severely struggling this season winning just 6 of their opening 20 games.

Bulls future

Despite their on-court struggles, the Bulls do have multiple valuable assets to trade. Players like Williams and Vucevic could easily help the Bulls acquire younger talent to develop and rebuild. However, LaVine is undoubtedly the most valuable asset they own.

With multiple years left under contract and earning multiple All-Star selections over the previous three seasons, LaVine could potentially land the Bulls numerous first-round picks, at least given the right scenario. With many giving up on their current season, they are expected to receive a high draft pick next year anyway and Given LaVine's contract length, the Bulls can afford to be patient and wait until the perfect trade becomes available.
