Philadelphia 76ers Struggling to Find a James harden Trade

Disgruntled superstar James Harden has been the subject of trade speculation for several months now after demanding a trade from the Philadelphia 76ers organization. Despite this public knowledge of the former MVP being available, the 76ers are still struggling to find a suitable trade candidate, as teams are losing interest with the 2023-2024 season drawing closer.

With several rumored candidates such as the Warriors, Bucks, and Celtics all making trades for other point guards instead, the list of teams looking to acquire Harden seems to be shrinking by the day. Adrian Wojnarowski claims that as of right now, the Clippers are the only team in active trade discussions for the 10-time All-Star.





As a 76er, Harden averaged over 20 points and 10 assists per game. Pairing that with last year's MVP Joel Embiid, Philadelphia considered themselves to be a championship contender. As of yet, they have not found a trade that will keep them in championship contention for the upcoming season. This is of massive importance to them, as they have the current MVP, Embiid, in his prime playing years, and he has hinted at leaving if they cannot build a competitive team around him.

With a few weeks until the season begins, Harden may have to wait until midway through the season or even until next season before being traded, as there are not many teams willing to give up a lot of assets for the 34-year-old guard, and Philadelphia still places a high value on the star.
